CostGraph pricing is usage-based. Compute monitoring is free under our freemium model while your monthly resource spend stays under $500; the AI assistant and Pricing API are billed per request. For detailed pricing and to choose a plan, visit our pricing page.

Pricing overview

Resource spend is the monthly cost of the resources CostGraph bills for (nodes and VMs today, more later). AI assistant (GraphAI + MCP) and Pricing API requests are billed per request regardless of the freemium threshold. A node that runs for part of the month is charged for that part.

Set up billing

A new organization has full access for its first 14 days. To keep access after that, an organization owner or billing admin sets up billing with a payment card. Organizations whose monthly resource spend stays under $500 aren’t charged. Open Settings > Billing and click Set up billing. Subscriptions and payment methods are handled through Stripe. Once billing is set up, the button reads Manage billing and opens the Stripe portal, where you manage your payment method and invoices. Only organization owners and billing admins see the Billing page. See Roles and permissions.

Read your usage

The Billing page shows the total cost of the current billing period. Usage this period lists each thing CostGraph charges for, with its unit price, effective cost, and billed cost. The charges section lists everything on the invoice, including fees, tax, and credits. Pick an earlier billing period to see past months. Owners and billing admins can also read their CostGraph charges with GET /api/v1/billing/usage?period=YYYY-MM in the CostGraph API, using an API key with the focus:read scope. The response uses the same cost format as your other bills.

Payment issues

If a payment fails, access continues for 7 days. CostGraph then shows Billing setup required and pauses access until an owner or billing admin updates billing. The same happens if billing isn’t set up when the first 14 days end.

Marketplaces

You can also buy CostGraph through AWS Marketplace or Google Cloud Marketplace. After you subscribe, the marketplace sends you to CostGraph, where an organization owner attaches the purchase to the organization. CostGraph then bills through the marketplace instead of a card, and you manage the contract in your AWS account or Google Cloud console.
